FAQs - Fresh Press / Pinter Pack
What is the ABV of the Fresh Beers and Ciders?
The ABVs of our Fresh Beers vary from 3.8% to 7% depending on the Style. You can find the ABV of specific Fresh Beers here: Fresh Beers.
Is Fresh Beer vegan/vegetarian?
Yes - all our Fresh Presses are 100% vegan and vegetarian friendly.
Are the Fresh Presses gluten-free?
Our Waltham Forest Dark Fruit and Cloudy Nine Apple Ciders are both gluten-free, but are made in an environment that handles gluten.
Do the Fresh Presses contain wheat?
Dark Matter Stout, Space Hopper DIPA, Alexa Play Three Lions and Southgate Euro the One EPAs, Marshall's Glove Scottish Ale, Welsh Red (B)ale and our Fresh Republic Lager do not contain wheat. However, these Fresh Press Styles are all blended in the same environment that handles wheat and wheat products.
How long will my Fresh Press last?
The Fresh Presses have around a 4 month shelf-life and you can find the expiry date on the back of your Fresh Press bottle. You can make sure your Presses stay as Fresh as possible by storing them in the fridge.
How do I store my Fresh Presses?
Fresh Presses can be stored in the fridge or at room temperature, but we do recommend storing them in the fridge in the warmer weather. If you do store them in the fridge, we recommend that you allow them to come to room temperature again before mixing. This will make sure that they blend better and therefore brew better.
Why does my Space Hopper look different to the other Presses? And how do I mix it?
The higher malt content in the Space Hopper makes it a very viscous Press, so it can look a little different to our other Fresh Presses. This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. However, due to the added thickness of the liquid, we recommend that you mix the Fresh Press, yeast and water together for longer than 10 seconds. You can also place the Fresh Press bottle in warm (not boiling) water for 10-20 minutes before adding to your Pinter which will help it mix with the water and yeast.
How long does Fresh Beer last in the Pinter?
Fresh Beer will stay fresh in the Pinter for up to 30 days in the fridge before tapping. Fresh Beer is at its optimum quality up to 7 days after tapping and may start to lose carbonation after this. Keeping your Pinter cold is the best way to make sure your Beers stay as Fresh as possible.
Is the Purifier safe?
The Purifier is completely safe to use as directed but can be harmful if consumed in its concentrated form – please refer to the product label for more information.
