Here at Pinter we have recently appointed Adam Keary as our new Managing Director. Obsessed with quality beer, Adam brings with him a wealth of experience including years spent as Managing Director of Camden Town Brewery. We're beyond excited to have him on board as he helps lead us into the Pinter future, creating the best Fresh Beer possible - and he happens to be a great guy too! Welcome to the team.
How did you come to work at Pinter?
I’ve known Alex (Chief Innovation Officer) for a while now, back when I was at Camden Town Brewery we supplied Alex beer while he was running a horse box bar. When I left Camden, Alex got in touch to introduce me to Pinter. After spending some time here I fell in love with the business, the concept and the opportunity. A few chats later with Ralph, and here I am!.
What feature of Pinter 2 are you most excited about?
I’m most looking forward to the tapping system that allows people to enjoy Fresh Beer for up to 4 weeks. It’s game changing for this business, but also for people drinking at home who don’t necessarily want to drink 10 pints in a short period of time, they can now enjoy Fresh Beer for longer.
Where is your favourite spot to have a beer?
I grew up in Australia, between Perth and Sydney so during the summer a beer on the beach is really the perfect spot for me. If the sun is out, having people over for a drink in the garden is always great too. Beer is a social thing for me, so always with friends.
What do you do when you are outside of the office?
I’m a fairly recent father, so most of my time is spent with my daughter. She’s probably now my best friend, and we get up to all sorts of adventures together.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever had?
I think it’s better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. The idea behind that is don’t stop doing things and wait for everyone to “let” you do it, be active and make a decision and if it is the wrong one then deal with the consequences. We’ll get a lot more done with that approach, and actually the mistakes are few and far between.
Music is constantly on in the office, but if you had the controls what would we be listening to?
I grew up in the 90’s with Brit rock, so Oasis, Blur and all that scene would be my go to.
Out of the Fresh Beer and Cider you’ve tried, which is your current favourite?
I’ve not managed to try them all yet but out of the ones I have, it has to be Stars and Stripes APA. I’m looking forward to sampling all the styles, especially the new Hopper Fresh Presses we’ve launched with Pinter 2.
